Manufacturing Overview
Using the heat shock method plus purification by extensive diafiltration at a low pH gives a more purified product (albumin fraction) than the Cohn process. This process takes place in a closed system.

Storage and Stability
Bovine Serum Albumin should be stored in tight and original containers at a temperature between 2 - 8°C. BSA is stable at room temperatures for several months and can be shipped at ambient temperatures. However, for long-term storage, the product must be kept under cool and dry conditions, as moisture can affect the shelf life of the product. It is stable for at least 3 years from the date of production.
